weaknesses and finding ways of improving them.

PREAMBLE
Reflecting on an experience is an
intentional and skilled activity requiring ability to analyze actions and make
judgments regarding their effectiveness. The reflective practitioner puts
him/herself at the centre of the activity and critically evaluates his/her
objectives, strategies, actions and results.
LESSON DELIVERY
I taught the lesson on November 6,
2019. I started the lesson with a review of the previous knowledge of the
student by asking them to brainstorm on how important items are kept in the
house and why they are kept that way. The students gave various ideas and
appropriate responds by saying that they are grouped according to types so that
they can be located without difficulties. So in relation to that responds, I
told the students that our topic for the day was “Creating a Folder”. After
that I gave an outline of the lesson objectives to students and proceeded to
the first step of the lesson development.
Step 1
Students were made to
brainstorm on what they will do with clean and unclean clothes in their home
and what they can do about it to help them locate it without difficulties; I
then introduced my topic for the day “Creating
a Folder”. I assisted students in the definition of the terms Folder and File.
Step 2
Later on, students
were assisted in the identification of some of the
forms a File can take. I welcome their additional knowledge about anything
general that can be related to file and folder
Step 3
Their contribution to the discussion
was splendid. The students’ contribution to me was as
a result of reading assignments given to students to read on the next topic to
be treated.
APPLICATION
After this, I evaluated
what I have thought so far to find out whether they have understood and
concentrating on the lesson, and they affirmed that they have understood and
are concentrating on the lesson by given good responses to the following
questions (i) Difference between File and Folder
(ii) Forms a File can take.
(iii) The process followed to create
a Folder.
CONCLUSION
I then concluded the lesson by
reviewing the main points of the lesson and asking students some review
questions. I was very happy after asking them the review questions because all
the review questions that were asked were correctly answered by the students.
This confirmed that they understood what was discussed during the lesson.
ASSIGNMENTS
Finally, a reading assignment was
given to them to read on the next topic to be treated to prepare them for the
next lesson.
